I've just bought a talking book but it doesn't talk ! Don't worry. First of all, make sure that the little switch on the last inside right-hand page of the book is in the "on" position. The button must be pushed upwards. On the same page, you will find complete instructions for use about how the book works. To extend the life of the batteries, and thus of your talking book, don't forget to put the switch to the "off" position (downwards) after each use. How do I start listening to the recorded sound ? Most of the pages have a small tactile zone the size of a 1 cm circle. On touching this area lightly with your finger (no need to press hard) you trigger the playback of the audio message corresponding to the page. How do I stop playback of the message ? When playback of a recorded sound is in progress, you can, at any time, stop listening to the message by touching another zone on a new page. This will start playback of a new message corresponding to the new page. In the same way, if you touch the tactile zone during playback of the relevant recording, this will restart playback from the beginning. From what age can children have a talking book ? DelaVox Technologies talking books meet European safety standards required for this type of product. The talking book is intended for children of over 3 years old. How do I change the batteries ? On the last inside right-hand page of the book, lift the paper flap. Underneath, next to the switch, you will see a plastic rectangular cover attached with three little screws. With a small crosshead scewdriver, undo the screws, remove the cover to access the three slimline batteries of 3 Volts each. Make a careful note of how the batteries are positioned. Remove the used batteries (make sure you dispose of them in the special recycling bins to be found in certain shops and department stores) then put in the new batteries (REF: CR2032 - 3V) fitting them correctly (+ facing upwards). Refit the cover, screws and close the paper flap. .../... |
